How long does it take for a decision?
Given that there are 2 stages, the decision times are as follows:
Stage 1 – up to 8 weeks. The average decision time is approximately 3-4 weeks.
Stage 2 – between 3 weeks to 8 weeks.
How many times can I apply?
You can apply for the Stage 1 endorsement as many times as you like. If you have been unsuccessful, and wish to reapply and resubmit, you can do so at any time. You don’t have to wait a certain amount of time to reapply.
Do I get a refund if I am unsuccessful in my endorsement?
No, the application fee for the Stage 1 endorsement is £526 and if you are unsuccessful, you do not get a refund. If you wish to reapply and resubmit, you will have to pay that fee again.
How do I submit my documents for the Stage 1 endorsement?
There are 2 steps to apply for the Stage 1 endorsement.
- Step 1 – pay the application fee of £526 online at the Home Office
- Step 2 – you have 30 days to upload your documents onto the Tech Nation portal.
After 15 days, they will send a reminder email to you giving you another 15 days therefore you have a total of 30 days to upload your documents onto the Tech Nation portal.
How long does it take to prepare my Stage 1 endorsement application?
The time taken to prepare your documents can range from 1-3 months. This is because you will be relying on your experts to write and sign your letters and you need time to prepare all your evidence to meet the criteria. Some of my clients have likened this process to be a Phd of their tech career so it takes time, effort and many weekends to do this properly.
I have been unsuccessful, can I appeal?
You can appeal if you feel the assessor made a mistake in assessing your application. Sometimes, it’s better to use that time and energy to reapply and resubmit if there is a high risk of another assessor rejecting your application. You have 28 calendar days to appeal and the new assessor has 28 calendar days to review your application again. More information on appeals is available here.
Am I eligible?
This is a very common question which I receive all the time. Being eligible is one thing, meeting the criteria is a completely different story.
The best way to assess whether you are eligible and could meet the criteria is if you have a technical skill or business skill where you worked for a company that has developed a product or many products that you have been involved in building or selling.
You can be an employee or founder of this company that has developed products.
Who are not eligible
Consultants, agency workers or those working for traditional banks, or consultancy companies like Wipro, Capgemini, KPMG, Tata Consultancy Group, Infosys etc.
Please complete my eligibility questionnaire so I can assess your eligibility.
What is your success rate?
My success rate is 90% while the endorsement rate is 54%. I have a high success rate because:
- I have been a recipient myself where I was endorsed in 2016 as an exceptional talent

- I used to be a lawyer in Australia and have the skill of advocating for people, writing in a very convincing way and being an immigrant myself, I understand the challenges we face in moving to a new country, experiencing new cultures while also adding to diversity that is required in the UK tech sector
- I have been a tech entrepreneur in the UK and lived in Newcastle, Manchester and London so I understand the UK tech landscape
- I was a former Tech Nation Visa ambassador for 2 years where I helped many applicants with their applications and represented the Tech Nation Visa schem

Who is the endorsing body for the Global Talent Visa in Digital Technology?
The Founders Forum is the legal interim endorsing body until the Home Office announces the new endorsing body in 2025.
Tech Nation has been the endorsing body since the Global Talent Visa was launched in 2014. It was acquired by the Founders Forum group in 2023 when Tech Nation announced its closure due to loss of funding for the Tech Nation group to continue. However, Tech Nation is operating under Founders Forum Group and remain to be the endorsing body until a new endorsing body is announced.
